By the Beach

Hello SCACD Friends - Today I have a fun crafty gift to share with you all!
This is a little gift set that I put together with a fun easel card.  This card features the fabulous By the Beach Peeker by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD from the Peekers 3 Collection!  I love this cutie peeking into her beach pail to see what treasures she has found at the beach!
My card features the MME Stella Rose Hattie Paper Collection.  Susana has many different MME Paper Pads in stock....this is one of my favorite paper companies!
By the Beach Peeker has been colored with Copics and pastel pencils.  The ruffles on her skirt, trim on her shirt, and the starfish all got a coat of Diamond Stickles.  The sand was first colored with Copics, then I used my Luminate Solar Gold Silks and painted over the top to give the sand a beautiful shimmer, and finally I topped it off with a mixture of Sand, Toffee, and Earth ultra fine flowersofts.  I wish you could see this IRL as it is gorgeous with the shimmer that appears through the flowersoft from the Luminarte Silks!
From this view you can see the shimmer from the Silks peeking through the flowersoft sand!  You can also see the shine of the pail that I made by coating the pail with Diamond Glaze.  Doesn't it look like a real life beach pail?  I love it!
All flowers were coated with Diamond Stickles.  I love using Diamond Stickles when I use yellow as one of my main colors because the Diamond Stickles then gives a "golden glitter" color next to yellow.
The bottom of the easel card with the butterfly tea light and flower candle holder to complete the gift set.
Here is one more angle view for you all.  I hope you have enjoyed my creation!  If you haven't gotten your Peekers 3 Collection yet you really need to purchase these cuties!!!

Loli's Dance

Today I’m using Basic Grey Kissing Booth. So pretty with all it’s pinks!! Next came the fun part of what stamp to use with it! When I was looking for what stamp to use the super cute Loli’s Dance from Sylvia Zet for SCACD yelled out that she hadn’t been inked up and she’d love to be- so who was I to argue!

I inked her up with Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored her with copics and ShinHan Art Touch Twin markers. She just makes me feel like doing a fan dance--if I knew how! LOL!

To help finish off the card I used a Petaloo flower and a few punches from my cute Fiskars Scroll punch.  I added some sparkle with stickles and an edge of Viva Decor Glitter Liner because you can never have too much sparkle! ohh and I added a few Kaisercraft rhinestones too!

~Did you know that SCACD carries lots of Maya Road Chipboard? Some super fun designs with lots of possibilities--HERE!!

GATHERING LOVE WITH GELATOS

Hello Everyone!!! This is Chrissy D here sharing a project I made using my Gelatos!

I used my water spray bottle and misted the image and colored the image from the Natural Beauty Collection from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design with the white Gelato then misted the stamp again stamped it on the black card stock (repeated this step several times.) I cleaned the stamp and misted it with water, then colored the Gathering Love image with the Black Gelatos and stamped it on the white card stock I cut out with the Large Spellbinder Circles.

Have you seen the silicone molds Susana carries? I decided to play with those this week too! I pulled out my CLAY to play awhile. Susana has several types and colors of clay, the Martha Stewart White Clay and there are many colors of the Air Dry Clay too. You can scroll down to see the MANY fabulous accessories and tools to use with your clay!!

To create the butterfly embellishment, I used the Martha Stewart Silicone Mold- Garden with the Martha Stewart White ClayOnce the clay was hard, I painted it with the Inspirations Paint in Blush and Antique Silver.

For the strips on the side panel, I used the GORGEOUS C'est La Vie Melissa Frances 6x6 Paper Pad. Susana has GREAT prices and she has papers ON SALE HERE. I added some Silver Viva Pearl Pen to further embellish the project.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

BLACK AND WHITE with a TOUCH OF RED

Happy Friday!  Is everyone ready for a long Memorial Day Weekend?  I know I am.  I have lots and lots of new products I want to play with.  It's time for me to venture out and get down and dirty with products and techniques you will see next week. (heehee)

Now to today's card.  This precious image is SENDING LOVE ANGEL by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.    I have always wanted to do a black and white image with a touch of red so this is the one.  It's different for me because I loooove color.  She is colored with different shades of  COPICS  gray and highlighted with CHRISTMAS RED STICKLES.  After I made the card I realized there are so many different occasions I can use it for.
When you have time be sure and check around the storeSUSANA  has in all the newest and latest products and receives more and more every week.

Wishing all of you a FUN and SAFE WEEKEND!!

HUGS,

PB & J

Nooo…not the sandwich PB & J--although that is one of my favorites, the Basic Grey paper PB & J is what I chose to work with today!

I thought the super cute By The Beach Peeker from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD would be fun to get inky with this paper. I don’t know about you but I still like to play with shovels and pails with sand and water! LOL!

Isn’t it amazing how something so simple as stamping the image inside and adding a strip of patterned paper really finishes the card! I know I’m not the first to do this and I can’t remember who I saw doing this first to give credit but I sure do like this technique!

Starting a new little feature on my SCACD posts-- *Did You Know*--which will be where I share products from SCACD that you might not of realized that were in the store!

Did you know that SCACD carries some awesome Tim Holtz dies? Check them out-HERE! I know I can’t wait to order Mini Tattered Florals! Which ones are you going to order?

Happy Mail Peeker

Happy Mail Peeker is part of the Sweet Home Peekers.  She is my favorite from this collection.  So sweet they way she is up on the edge reaching into the mail box.  I used the Prima Almanac paper collection.  I also used it to paper piece the matching envelope.  The flower is from the Petaloo Darjeeling Dahlias - Neutral sprayed with Dylusions Ink Spray in Postbox Red.

Time to mail this cutie to a good friend so she knows I am thinking of her!!!

Get Inky!

Boo Boo Peeker!

I'm here with the sweet new "Boo Boo Peeker" from the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD "Summer Time Peekers" collection!

Boo Boo Peeker was stamped with
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  I used a Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eighteen Die to cut her out. The gorgeous paper are from the cool Heidi Swap "Sugar Chic" 6x6 paper pad paper pad (On SALE Now!). Sakura Stardust Pen was used on her hair ribbon. The pearls in the lower left corner were made with my new Viva Decor "Pink" Pearl Pen.  And of course Distress Ink sponged on most paper edges, lol.

I also used some new Vintaj goodies to make a charm for the ribbon.  I took a Vintaj "Butterflies" Metal Blank and embossed it with the Vintaj - Sizzix DecoEmbossing Folder "Moonlit Night". I then sanded it with the Vintaj Metal Reliefing Block so that the gold metal of the raised portions would shine through. I love the new Luminarte Silk Acrylic Glazes in Jasmine and Teal Zircon which match the papers perfectly so I decided to try it on the metal piece.  After painting the silks on, I then re-sanded the raised portions with the Vintaj Metal Reliefing Block and set the piece by brushing on Vintaj Glaze.

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

Feeling a Bit Metallic

Hello Everyone! This is Chrissy D here today sharing a project that was so much fun to create! I included all of the details here for you:

I created a 4 1/4" x 5" sheet of card stock using the Dream Weaver Paste and the Basket Weave Stencil. (I placed the stencil on an angle and used the handy dandy Dreamweaver Stencils Spreader) and allowed it to dry for a half an hour. I then used the Ranger Perfect Medium Clear and tapped on the raised embossed edges and then stippled the Aged Patina - Pewter on that. Using Black Staz On Ink, I stamped the Susana Loves StampsCome Hither Eyes image over the Pasted/ pearled area and cut out the skirt portion to paper piece her outfit.

To clean my stamp, I used the FABULOUS ScraPerfect Best Cleaner Ever. Have you heard of this product?  I personally am AMAZED...it cleaned stamps that I had built up Staz On ink on it easily!

I stamped the Come Hither Eyes image a second time using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her skin with Copic Markers E00 and E11 Using the Onyx Inspiration Paints for her hair, Garnet Inpisrations Paint for her lips and heart bow, Blush Inspiration Paints for her cheeks and a Tim Holtz Detailer Brush to paint.
On the shirt/ top and wings of the Come Hither Eyes image I used the very corner of the Ranger Perfect Medium Clear pad and traced around the edges. I then stippled the Aged Patina - Pewter onto the top and used the Perfect Pearls Metallic, Perfect Pearl on the wings to give her wings a touch of shimmer!

I included a few different angles so you can see the SHIMMER - unless you see this IN REAL LIFE you can only imagine it!

To create the background, I used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pumice Stone on the vanilla card stock. I then tapped the Perfect Pearls Metallic, Perfect Pearl  over the entire background. Stamping the Unity Painted Punchinella image in Versamark (refills are here too!). I cleaned the stamp off and repeated that step to cover the entire background.

Once adhering all of the pieces together, the shimmer was FANTASTIC but I felt like the card needed something else, so I grabbed one of my FAVORITE Viva Decor Products, the Viva Pearl Pen Black and added some drops to finish this off.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!
